Who We Are

The Governor Mutula Kilonzo Junior Super Cup (MKJ SUPA CUP) is a grassroots-to-county youth sports championship played across all wards and sub-counties of Makueni County. The MKJ SUPA CUP Games are designed to unearth and develop raw sporting talent among Kenyan youth who are out of school and have missed mainstream scouting opportunities.

Many talented young Kenyans aged 18 to 23 lack the platform to showcase their abilities — they are not in universities or colleges, have never played in any higher league, and have limited exposure to professional sports institutions. MKJ SUPA CUP bridges this gap by providing a competitive, structured pathway from the ward level all the way to the county finals.

The competition starts at Ligi Mashinani (grassroots league) in every ward, from which a Ward All-Stars team is selected to compete at the sub-county level. Each sub-county then forms a Sub-County All-Stars team that competes in the MKJ SUPA CUP County Finals.

The 4th Edition of the MKJ SUPA CUP Games will be held in 2026 in Makueni County, organised by the MKJ SUPA CUP Executive Committee in collaboration with the Makueni County Government.
